Host a Small Group this Spring
Beginning the first week of March, we want to open up the opportunity for new small groups to meet for our 8-week series that leads up to Easter. In order to do that, we need families and individuals who are willing to host. Please use the response card to let us know that you can help and Tim Peace will be in contact with resources and support to help get a plan in place.
The goal of Mount Carmel’s Small Group ministry is to make a big and growing church feel smaller for people who want to connect. Small Groups exist to foster an environment where Christ-centered relationships can form and thrive. They are essential for helping people put down roots within a big church.
Groups meet during various days, times and frequencies. If you’re interested in connecting with a group, let us know via the response card on Sunday morning. It’s helpful to have as much preferential information as possible to connect you to the right group. Then, we’ll have a leader reach out to you.
Looking for a Small Group?
Frequently Asked Questions:
- We try to place people in groups where the members of the group are at the same "phase" of life.
- We aim to have group leaders to invite people, so all they need to do is sign up and we'll reach out soon after.
- It's okay to say you don't feel a connection with a group you get placed in; getting into or out of a group is judgment-free. We only ask that you give a new group a fair shot.
- With our focus being on relationships, we won't ask a group to split apart, "birth," multiply, or whatever buzzword for breaking up is en vogue. The only thing we hope for is leaders to step up and step out when they are called and ready to do so.
We want a smooth, comfortable and connecting approach to joining a small group, both for the existing group and the prospective group members. Our plan is to have someone sign-up and then have a leader reach out to invite the person. This allows the individual to feel invited, gives the leader and existing group a heads up
